It's so they don't pay for the processing fees for the cards.
Cash or debit. No credit card accepted.
Not really. It's very busy and there is usually a line up... So I'm pretty sure they would want you keep moving or you can stay and encounter some weird stares.
No, I don't believe so.
Visited Sugar Marmalade one late Sunday night - it was walk-in (no reservation). The place was a bit busy, but only had to wait a few mins for a table - however have heard wait times can be 1hr at peak times. There are a wide variety of desserts (however some dishes could use more sweetness). The ordering system is very unique, you need to write down the dish ID on a piece of paper - makes things more efficient (but can also be confusing if you’ve never done it before). Had the blueberry cheesecake and the mango bubble tea - very delicious. Price is $-$$. Staff is friendly. Would recommend.
Good place for late night dessert and snacks. Love the shave ice. Food is also pretty good. You can easily call a server over since they have a system in place for you to order and get your bill.
Nice place to hang out and love the ordering system with the button on your table. It really makes the service efficient. However, wait times are always extremely long and the items taste mediocre and is overpriced. I wouldn't go unless I was really craving something that ONLY Sugar Marmalade served, but I'd probably be able to find it somewhere else.
I went there a week ago and oh my goodness is the dessert good. I had shaved ice (green tea and red bean) and I would 100% recommend it for a dessert after a meal. Anyone looking to pick up shaved ice should know that the shaved ice bowls are quite big so this isn’t just like a simple ice cream cone, for example. This is almost a full meal. Still though, very very tasty.
One of the few dessert cafe/restaurant in Mississauga. Thank goodness this one is a good one. Little understaffed and crowd.
I don’t know if the service was slow because it was late when I came here, but it wasn’t the best service (given that there was maybe 1 other table occupied) the place could look nicer and there food presentation could also be better, but it deserves a 3 star rating given it’s something different. Worth trying but won’t be coming back
So many delicious options. Love their stewed milk and egg white with ginger and their curry and their black rice dishes and their toast. Well priced for what you get and lovely staff. Busy but because it's great food and a fun atmosphere. Worth the wait.
Ordered the Japanese popcorn chicken, deep fried French fries, original egg waffles and the Oreo pudding. Dessert was all great, prices were not too bad either. The French fries, well they were just regular fries but nice to have on the side, you get a lot too. The Japanese popcorn chicken was not that great in my opinion. It has a really strong fish smell and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The waitress did try to help us out by giving us a different sauce and taking off some of the fish flakes (which helped a lot with the smell) but personally was just not enough. They have a wide variety of options for both desserts and mains, which I love. The staff and ambience was great, I will probably still come back again and try their other mains 😊
amazing dessert place in Mississagua! A big variety of all sorts of different desserts. We loved their soft tofu pudding~~~ it was a neat personal size served in a wooden bucket with sweet syrup and red bean. The warmness of the tofu pudding was just right, jiggly like pudding texture that melts in your mouth. You can add the syrup according to the sweetness you prefer. I got the taro dessert bowl that was mixed with black glutinous rice, taro balls, real taro chunks and pearl delight rice balls. The flavour was slightly plain to me compare to the tofu pudding, not a huge huge fan of the pearl delight rice balls.Aside from desserts, they also have snacks and meals too. It's like an amazing all-in-one restaurant to come if you're craving for basically everything!Traditional Tofu Pudding - $9.99Taro Black Glutinous Rice With Pearl Delight - $7.99Mixed Fruit with Sago Mixed Pearl Delight - $8.49
This place is always packed so be prepared to wait for a table. There's a wide selection of Chinese desserts with all of them being pretty good. They have an entree menu as well but I've never ordered from it as I only ever come here for dessert.
OMG is this the place to go!!The selection is wonderful, the portion size is super and the service is pleasant. All around wow factor.
The desserts were delicious. The price is really reasonable too. Would definitely go back again
Open late, good service, the mango coconut drink is pretty good and the food is good for the price. I come here often with friends. All in all a good place for a late night snack with good company.
Kimchi fries are amazing. Great service and reasonable prices.
First time, came for lunch. Ordered chicken, mushroom noodle soup. Nothing special. Basically was a chicken noodle soup from Cambells. Honey green tea was good though. Would not come back. Had to correct order multiple time...
Mainly an Asian style dessert place, food was decent but not filling. The portion sizes are okay, the staff are attentive to the tables. But some stand around sometimes. For those wanting to try something to satisfy there sweet tooth, I do recommend coming here to try. Some of their desserts are vegan friendly, but you would just have to ask them what they use to make it.
Really tasty dessert spot! They do some things here I have never tasted elsewhere. And yes, I've traveled :) there should be something for everyone. I don't think this is a nut free facility if you're allergic. Nice atmosphere. It has a family feel. Good for date night. Careful when ordering and make sure the item you want aligned with the numbering scheme. I think I'm gonna treat myself here once a month ðŸ‘
The portions were well sized and the ordering system was smart!
The sheer amount of items available is very overwhelming but pleasantly so. Highly recommended as a go to for asian desserts. Everything tastes fantastic and service is fast and efficient. Some of the staff are a little surly but hilariously so as it is super busy popular spot. I will return to try other items on the menu!
Great space, nice choice of dessert and food. Great menus, good design.Just the dessert could use more sugar, just like the name. Not sweet enought for dessert.Pop corn chicken is the best, mist try, highly recommend.
Great desserts! Make sure you go to this place hungry because the desserts are big and very filling! The puddings with the fresh fruits are very nice but my favourite is the waffle withe match ice cream as you can see in the photo. There's sweet cream, red bean paste and even tapioca which absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place but the staff is a little slow and don't exactly speak English. They understand it but don't speak unless absolutely required so it's a little awkward.
Something different to try. has good variety of dessert options. The food however, is okay. Service is not the greatest. but still a good place to try.
The service was quick but our chicken was very undercooked and our pancake dessert had a very bizarre taste.
Interesting deserts . ,Lots of varieties and unique dishes that you can't find at your usual desert spots in the GTA
Quality of food is pretty good. Get there earlier if you don't plan on staying late as the inside is pretty small and if you get there later at night, on the weekends there will definitely be a wait. Overall, I enjoyed my time there!
Decent popular location and usually busy. Reasonably clean. Staff could be friendlier. Wide variety of desserts and some good unique savory options too. Shaved ice style is somewhere between Korean snowy and Hawaiian shave ice. Waffles we're good. Kids live the place. Waiter call system on tables is convenient. Parking is not good.
Found this place with friends by accident. Good choices of dessert there.
Amazing prices for generally higher quality finger foods. Some items are questionable, such as some sad fried chicken wings that weighed more in grease and almost no meat. Their popcorn chicken and kimchi fries are my go-to and are generally very filling. Their ice cream based desserts are well priced for their quality and portions at a sit-down location. Staff is very quick for service as well
I really liked the mango pancakes and waffles! They have really good prices and I did not expect my bill to be around $27 for 3 desserts (I ordered the mango pancakes, a waffle, and marshmallow toast)! This place also has a unique concept where you go in and have the menus and a little paper with a pencil at your table. So you basically wrote the letter/number that corresponds with your menu item onto the paper. Great dessert variety as well.
This is a great place to hangout with a few friends and enjoy some good food. It gets really packed on a Friday night and waits can be a bit long but the food compensates that. Great price and good portions with an amazing taste. Can never go wrong eating here. Service was splendid as well. No complaints. Best thing is they have a button you can press to call for assistance. Would be nice if every restaurant had that option.
Great food presentation, environment is very cafe and cozy. Lots of Asian music playing in the background and the price is worth it from my opinion. Been here numerous times and definitely is a go to for me
There is not any other dessert restaurants can compete with this one in Mississauga based on food portion, price, quality of ingredients, and process of cooking and serving. in this price range, this place is No.1 guaranteed.
Delicious deserts for fair prices, staff is friendly, gets kind of busy during peak hours.
If you're looking for amazing value, this is the place to find it. One of the most underrated Asian places in Mississauga. The place is small so expect a wait during peak times, but it is absolutely worth it. The service is above average. They don't do traditional serving practices such as first-checks but I think it's because they respect your privacy and don't want to be intrusive. They are very prompt with requests and are very friendly.
I always get my fave mango pancake esp since the mangoes are currently in season and are very sweet. Also love their deep fried Taiwanese chicken wings. It always tastes so good paired up with the pancake.
Food was nice and for a good price, I rarely buy a 2 course meal
Great dessert and was packed on a Saturday night 10:00pm
Taiwanese style food. Lots of fun dishes and desserts to order.
Always been a fan of Sugar Marmalade, this place has a great atmosphere. The service was not bad, the waitress was very friendly. We got the dessert and the Taiwan hot pot, both are great. The varieties in the hot pot are pretty good. Food comes efficiently.
Nice little place for some Asian snacks. I like the desserts and drinks they have there, but their entrees are just okay. I've tried a fair amount of their entrees and none have really stood out to me. If you're looking for a full on meal, try another spot. If you're looking for a place to just hang out with friends to enjoy some snacks and bubbletea, not a bad spot to choose!
